Hamburg Ballet’s The Little MermaidFriday, February 8, 20135:30 p.m.Reception hosted by Bette and Wylie, Law ’65, Aitken7:30 p.m. BalletSegerstrom Center for the Arts600 Town Center DriveCosta Mesa, CAJoin Marquette alumni, parents and friends for a retelling of The Little Mermaid, written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1837. The ballet, directed by John Neumeier, Arts ’61 is a fantastical and dark tale that contrasts a fanciful underwater world with the complexities of life on land. The story is told through a young woman who risks everything for love. Prior to the ballet, we invite you to join us for a reception hosted by Bette and Wylie, Law ’65, Aitken. Director John Neumeier, Arts ’61 will also join us at the reception.Tickets are limited as this ballet will only be in town for three days so we suggest purchasing them as soon as possible. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Segerstrom Center for the Arts website.
