Join other Marquette alumni, parents and friends in Atlanta for the 23rd Annual Hands on Atlanta Day. Help restore and renew Greater Atlanta by volunteering! Hands on Atlanta Day projects yield a sustainable and meaningful impact for the approximately 65 organizations served. More details, including the specific Marquette alumni project, to come!
Sawyer Road Elementary's mission is to encourage all students to become caring, open-minded, and principled citizens with a global perspective of their community and world. During Hands On Atlanta Day, ceiling tiles will be outlined for a future painting project. Cornhole games will be built. Wooden benches need to be repaired, sanded, and restained. Painted games and pavement art in the courtyard areas need to be touched up and repainted. Also pictures of some texts need to be painted on a wall. The nature trail needs to be cleared of weeds and remulched as well. The minimum age to volunteer with adult supervision is 8. Be sure to wear your Marquette blue and gold!
Following the service activities, those interested are welcome to attend a pay-as-you-go group lunch at a nearby restaurant.
