Marquette's College of Nursing is pleased to host its third annual
Health Care Forum
Breakthroughs in technology are making medical miracles possible every day.
- But how do great ideas get from concept to standard practice?
- How does cutting edge research traverse the labyrinth of review and approval to emerge in the form of life-saving tools, covered by insurance and trusted by caregivers?
- How do health care providers make decisions about treatment plans while balancing the availability and cost implications of medical interventions for particular patients?
- How do health care consumers navigate the complex options available and advocate their needs?
Monday, May 7
Marquette’s Dr. Kris Ropella, Eng '85, Professor and Chair of Biomedical Engineering, will moderate our panel of experts, who will shed light on how health care providers balance the best interest of the patient with the implementation of new technology. Others with perspectives from the insurance industry and insights from the health care consumers' points of view will also discuss how these topics affect you.
