Calling Engineering Alumni forCommunity Planting Day! Saturday, May 14 Join the College of Engineering Alumni Association (COEAA) for a fun-filled day of service at Community Planting Day. Organized by the Menomonee Valley Partners (MVP), Community Planting Day is an annual beautification effort in the Menomonee Valley. Volunteers will plant hundreds of trees in an effort to further green what was once Milwaukee’s most famous brownfield. Engineering alumni, parents, friends and families most welcome.9 a.m. Gather9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tree Planting Meet at the intersection of Canal Street and Milwaukee Road, along the Hank Aaron State Trail. Canal Street can be accessed from Clybourn Avenue off of 32nd Street. Once on Canal, look for the signs near the 35th Street viaduct indicating where you can park.Noon - Lunch Palermo Villa 2315 N. Murray Ave. Milwaukee Come prepared to get dirty and wear sturdy shoes! If you have trowels or small spades for planting, please bring them along.REGISTER ONLINE by Thursday, May 12.
